It has been a huge journey and our heads are still abuzz with the great people we have met and feedback we have had along the way.</span></div><div></div><div><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: medium;">Our latest news is that we have already sold out of books! It happened much faster than we imagined and has left us wondering what next? There are an ever increasing number of potential subjects for another book in the Shoalhaven and we are keeping our eyes peeled. </span></span></div><div></div><div><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: medium;">But meanwhile we are catching our breath and catching up with the life we have neglected over the last two years. We will keep you all posted as things develop and thank everyone for taking the journey with us.</span></span></div><div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div><span style="color: maroon; font-family: Verdana; font-size: medium;">Katie and Amy</span></div></span></div>Locavore Australiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02409851353017151595noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5530209634784383549.post-65930734450063334852010-09-27T19:35:00.009+10:002010-10-04T14:41:46.347+11:00So I lost a bet.<div class="MsoNormal" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: small;">The pay-off was a home-cooked meal, with an extra helping of humble pie. In the </span><span style="font-size: small;">locavore<b> </b></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: small;">spirit, I wanted to make the menu as homegrown and local as possible. So, with a beast in the freezer and the last of the winter vegies in the garden, here is what we ate. Feast your eyes on the menu and Katie's delicious photos. </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br />

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine equal volumes of lemon juice and sugar, stirring until completely dissolved. Allow to cool, and bottle into sterilised jars. These will keep for a couple of weeks in the fridge. Mix with water, sparkling or still, and garnish with mint. </span></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="color: #444444; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span lang="EN-US"><br />
